Events surrounding Zimbabwe have certainly not gone unnoticed in the news lately. A few examples can be found here, here, and here. Not forgetting Petina Gappah’s rant here, and Michael Trapido’s sentiments here.
I am keen to gauge the mood pertaining to Zimbabwe based on the traffic passing through this blog. Kindly spare a moment to add your 2 pence to the poll below.

Last night i went for dinner with a few friends, they took me to this very up market area where the cheapest house is in the millions of Ringgit. (exchange rate USD1 = RM3.2) you will not believe who i met there, the wife and kids of Sekeramayi holidaying. Needless to say I stayed away from them one of their party wanted to introduce me but I was very reluctant since at times I am know to say things that could cause trouble and i didnt want to cause a scene, So i turned down the offer. we have quiet a few of the politicians children here,

my topic for the day is.. corruption is everywhere, just depends where you are..
if you are in a 3rd world country; you want to get in there, have a tarmac road built to your village, power up your village, build some property using donated materials for some needy school and by rights you should be done after that. Oh forgot, kill a few people, then leave before they are dug up and come to haunt you..
if you are in a 1st world country; you get in, get invited to some fancy shindigs, get undeserved allowances, milk the cow a bit more and set yourself up for life with after dinner talk shows where you get paid ridiculous amounts of money and then you leave before some skeletons come to haunt you.
by these worldly standards our brethren in Zim are done, well done is more like it, they have their tarred roads, their mansions and they have been to Harrods; they really should get out..
thats my other tuppence; now i need to go and do another shift..
